Press Release: EveryBuddy Matters This Weekendby EBM Team, 10/12/2012
From the 14 - 16 December 2012 a group of young people and adults from the Salesian Pastoral Youth Service (SPYS) will be adding colour, music and fun for children, youngsters and adults to the streets of Valletta while promoting a message of inclusion through EveryBuddy Matters.
A Kids Area will be set up in St John's Square, a Jamming and Fair Trade Tent will be set up in Merchants Street, a Graffiti Wall will be set up around the new Parliament Building Site, while the public is encouraged to watch out for clowns, street animators and dance performances not often seen in Malta.
EveryBuddy Matters, which is a project funded by the 'Youth in Action' Programme of the EU, started last March with a series of sessions during which participants were given a taste of various skills related to street animation and performance. During an animation weekend in October run by professional circus artists from France and Poland, the participants took to the streets of Marsaxlokk where they animated the public with various acts and performances.
The EveryBuddy Matters Event which kicks off on Friday at 7.00pm, draws to a close on Sunday at 4.30pm and is run in collaboration with the Valletta Local Council, Deaf People Association, Kooperattiva Kummerc Gust and the Sliema Salesian Oratory
