Eurizon 2007_1
August had merely started when a group of 17 young dynamic people left our long awaited summer to attend EURIZON, a youth encounter organized every year for all the European Don Bosco youth organizations. The place that awaited them was in the midst of the most beautiful Bavarian landscapes, in 'Benediktbeuern' south of Germany. This assembly was open to everyone and the focus of the encounter was about intercultural learning and values: developing the personalities of young people to help them become active citizens. There was the chance for these youths to integrate with the local community which encouraged intercultural dialogue, taking full responsibility for discrimination and intolerance in a different community. The planning and organization of the Maltese group was done in collaboration with SPYS, Salesian Pastoral Youth Service.
